What if you could learn about one of the fastest growing areas of business communications through real-world examples?

What if you could see the power of collaborative management in action?

What if you could have demonstrable social media skills and build stronger industry ties?

Welcome to the Nustory Project where student teams are linked with businesses to explore how digital technologies are transforming communications.

Note that if you are not already part of this project, you will need a faculty sponsor to complete the request form.

Over the course of 6-8 weeks (depending on your class schedule) you will learn the principles of social media and work in teams to apply these to a real business, initially using Twitter but with the option to create deeper rich media too. At the end of the project, your team will present an actionable social media strategy to the business.

What you will learn:

  • Why social media is important
  • How to build a social media strategy
  • How social media management tools like Hootsuite and Slack can help execute a social media strategy
  • The role of analytics in defining/refining a strategy
